Mammut have launched the new element Barryvox avalanche transceiver, a three-antenna device that’s been pared down to offer an easy-to-use package of essentials at the push of a button.

In an emergency every second counts, and that’s why Mammut’s Element Barryvox is a life-saving companion, with clear instructions, one button operation, 200 hour battery life and clearly laid out display, this piece of kit guarantees fast and precise location information. It’s ideal for group use as the screen can show multiple victims, including their distance and direction helping the user to prioritise.

Mammut’s Element Barryvox offers a range of 40 meters between transceivers, signal analysis, lists victims and offers a marking facility, all key functions needed to quickly and reliably tackle even complex situations involving multiple buried victims.

An extremely robust housing offers good resistance to impact or breakage and its low weight of 210g means it doesn’t bother you throughout the day.

Pair Mammut’s Element Barryvox (RRP £290) with the Alugator super light shovel (RRP £45) and the Probe Light (RRP £45) for the full complement of snow safety gear.
