The Tri-Area ski pass or ”SkiBig3” ticket (www.skibig3.com), which allows users to access slopes at Canada’s largest ski destinations: Mount Norquay, Lake Louise ski area and Sunshine Village, has been extended this winter, with the option to try snowshoeing, tubing or a sightseeing tour, all included at no extra cost. This offers excellent value, with the added advantage that the winter season extends well into May.

The ski bus service, which is also included in the Tri-Area pass, has also improved. The shuttle service now includes six new major stops outside hotels on Banff Avenue, in addition to the Fairmont Banff Springs, and the main downtown location behind the Mount Royal Hotel. The current hotel to resort direct service will continue in Lake Louise, with both services from Banff and Lake Louise taking visitors to any of the three ski hills. Prices for the pass start at £268 for adults.
