All 18 of Courchevel’s chairlifts will be fitted with Magnestick safety devices for children as of next winter.

Magnestick technology, which uses magnetism to secure children wearing special equipment to the chairlift as it ascends, usually children in ski school, was pioneered at the famous French resort several years ago and has since spread to resorts around the world.

Courchevel itself has been gradually increasing the number of its own chairlifts fitted with the technology which helps prevent the rare occurrence of children slipping from a chairlift.
